The Boot is created in multiple layers. The first part designed was the background, inspired by vintage American quilts. Stephen Wilson cuts shopping bags into strips, embroiders them using geometric patterns stitched in luxurious wool/cashmere blend thread, and then pieces them together. The heart element is created with silk appliqués and numerous free-standing pieces that are collaged together. Lace flowers, flowers created with Hermes scarves as well as embroidered butterflies are added one at a time to create the stunning focal point.  12″ x 12″ x 2″ inches in size. The art comes framed in acrylic and is signed and numbered by the artist.  Items may vary.
